My blog is a place for process, reflection, and musings.
I share my creative practice and works in progress, alongside photography, the natural world, places I explore, and the things I keep coming back to - craft, history, books, and the small details I notice along the way. You’ll also find the occasional essay, book review, and collections of inspiration and mood boards.
Mabon - Autumn Equinox
Summer isn't quite gone, but autumn has arrived - knocking quietly at the door. The Autumn Equinox marks the moment when day and night are almost equal in length, before the balance tips and darkness begins to take up more of the year. It is a time of harvest, gratitude and balance - but also of letting go.
Lammas - The First Harvest
A little later than usual, I’m arriving at Lammas – the first harvest. Traditionally celebrated around the 1st August, Lammas marks the beginning of the grain harvest and the point where summer begins its slow turn towards autumn.
Litha - Summer Solstice
The wheel turns once more and we arrive at Litha – the Summer Solstice. Falling around the 20th or 21st of June in the Northern Hemisphere, Litha marks the longest day and shortest night of the year.
