A Return

A monach butterfly sits atop lilac verbena.

I’ve been thinking about starting this again for a long time.

I first started blogging over seventeen years ago, back in January 2009. Those were the days when beauty blogging was in its infancy and it felt like we were creating something new and exciting. Blogging more generally is something I returned to on and off over the years - a place to write, to share, to document things as they were happening.

Lately I’ve felt a pull back to it. Not in a big, dramatic way - just a sense that I want a space that feels like mine again. Somewhere slower, more thoughtful, and not shaped by algorithms or the pace of social media. A quiet corner of the Internet to call my own.

This feels like a natural place to bring everything together - my art, photography, days out, inspirations books, and the things I find myself noticing and returning to.

There’s no real plan for where this will go. No schedule or self imposed pressure. Just a space to write, to share, and to keep a record of things as they unfold. I’m excited for this next chapter!
