Loreal Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution

I know I've arrived ridiculously late to this party but better late than never right?

Micellar waters have been hot property in beauty circles for a while now with lots of bloggers swearing by them. For whatever the reason it has taken me until now for me to find out what all the fuss is about.

I spotted the Loreal Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution on offer in my local supermarket and thought I'd give it a go. Micellar waters offer a gentle alternative to make up removal and with a sweep of a cotton wool pad promise to dissolve make up, unblock pores and remove impurities from the skin.

I have to be honest I didn't expect to love this product as much as I do but I am really impressed with it. This clever little water removes my thick liquid liner and lashings of mascara without any problems whatsoever. After 2 weeks of using this each night to remove my eye make up I can safely say I am well and truly on the band wagon. I havn't used this on my skin as I'm too devoted to my Avene Gentle Cleanser but I'm pretty sure you can use this to remove all make up you may be wearing, not just eye make up.

If you've been thinking about dipping your toe into the world of Micellar waters I think the Loreal Solution is a good place to start. Unlike some of the more popular waters that can be a little pricey this is an affordable water that works a treat.

I am intrigued by the likes of Bioderma H20, Avene and La Roche Posay Micellar Waters and would be interested to see how they compare to Loreal's offering.

What do you think about Micellar Waters? Do you have a favourite?

26

This week saw the arrival of my 26th birthday. I've had such a wonderful week filled with lots of food, laughs and fabulous presents.

I'm feeling excited for 26th year - I have lots of plans and aspirations I want to work towards. My birthday started with a rather wonderful gift from Craig on Thursday morning - an iPad Mini! I've wanted one for ages buts its always been one of those things I struggled to justify because I didn't really need one. Needless to say I love it and would love any app recommendations? I've been toying with the idea of getting a couple of magazine subscriptions on there too - again any recommendations would be fab.

I then headed off to work and was surprised by my lovely team with bunting and banners decorating my desk. We also had what can only be described as a feast for the entire team to gorge graze on throughout the day. I provided a Malteser cake which looked rather delightful and went down a storm. It certainly made working on my birthday more bearable and to round the day off I was given some really sweet gifts from my co workers along with some beautiful flowers.

After work I headed home only to be surprised by a few more little gifts from Craig - a complete yoga kit and a pretty iPad case. As if I wasn't feeling spoilt enough we then headed out for a curry with friends. I opted for Lamb Dopiaza with Rice and an obscene amount of poppadoms to start with.

Karen provided dessert with one of my favourite treats - bannoffee pie! I must confess after all of the food I consumed throughout the day I only managed a couple of mouthfuls but it was absolutely divine!

Feeling happy and content and absolutely stuffed we arrived home and fell straight into a deep and peaceful sleep. I feel truly lucky and blessed to have such amazing people in my life and look forward to becoming the best version of me in my 26th year.
