My lovely new ToyWatch

Theres just something I love about skeleton watches. I think it has a lot to do with the exposed mechanisms and the old fashioned vibe they kick off.

A few weeks ago I got my hands on the perfect specimen from ToyWatch*. I've wanted a skeleton watch for a really long time and when I saw this I knew it was the one. This is the Toy 2 Fly White and Gold Skeleton Watch and its an absolute beauty.

I absolutely love it and I've received so many compliments about it. Its a stunning timepiece and I love to watch each tiny little mechanism working away. Its so beautifully made and I love that its so unique and different.

I'd love to get Craig the black and silver version for Christmas as he's always had a bit of a penchant for skeleton watches too! I'd better speak to Santa nicely ;)

Do you love skeleton watches as much as I do?

Cosy

Autumn is always a welcome arrival for me. The leaves change colour, the light turns golden and there's a crispness in the air that I simply adore. It is hands down my favourite season, and along with the winter wardrobe and black boots comes out the autumnal candles, fleecy throws and hot chocolates.

I love making the little changes in my home to reflect the seasons and wanted to share a few of my favourite touches from around the house.

Sweet berries and patchouli candle from Primark

I also like to change up my cushions with the different seasons. Its one of the easiest ways to switch up the vibe in your front room/bedroom. Spring and Summer are all about pretty pastels and florals - Autumn and Winter are all about the deep reds and greys. I love anything with deer/stags on (I have an amazing Stag's head in the front room I bought last year in Matalan) and the cushion below is no exception.

I finally cleared off my dressing table and added some really old star fairy lights from Ikea around the mirror which look super pretty. I also finally found the perfect stool from Out There Interiors* It goes perfectly with my dressing table, was really easy to assemble and feels really sturdy. Out There interiors have some really beautiful and unique pieces and are worth checking out if you're looking for something different for your home.

One of my absolute favourite little changes is autumnal bedding. I love Primark's winter bedding and have my eye on a set similar to the christmas bedding I got from there last year.
When I saw this bedding in Next though I knew I had to have it. I'm loving tartan at the moment, so much so I even bought the matching snuggly throw to go with it. The bedding is so gorgeous and has a cute stipe pattern on the opposite side. I didn't realise when I bought it that you actually get 2 duvet sets with slightly different patterns which was a bonus!

Last but not least I've whipped out my old favourite hot water bottle. Perfect for ensuring maximum toastiness on cold and windy nights.

Do you change your home according to the seasons? As you can see my favourite places for homewares are Primark, Next and Matalan. Where are yours?
