Last weekend I accepted a challenge to be part of O2's latest campaign Be More Dog. The idea behind the campaign is that we should all be a little more dog, more adventurous, excitable and amazed by everything around us.
I was sent two locked boxes one was a dog, one was a cat. It all felt very mission impossible (which I LOVED) and I had the choice to open either the dog box and embrace an unknown exciting adventure, or open the cat box and opt for a lazy weekend relaxing.
Lots of other bloggers have been involved and after seeing that some of them had been flying planes and doing indoor sky dives I was slightly terrified about what the dog box may hold inside. I am far from an adrenaline junkie, but after much deliberation I decided to try something new and Be More Dog.
Luckily for me it wasn't anything too scary or involving heights, it was an afternoon Go Karting at Pole Position Karting in Leeds! I'd been go karting before as a teenager at an air field and loved it so I was mega excited to give it a go. I didn't take my camera with me as I wasn't sure if there would be lockers, but I did manage to take a few snaps on my phone.
Little did I know that when I got there I would be racing in a kart that goes 50 miles an hour around a track in full overalls, balaclava and helmet against 13 other men taking it really seriously. To say I was bricking it is an understatement but I gave it my best shot and I was extremely proud that I didn't come last! I had a brilliant time and I'm glad I decided to #BeMoreDog
