Just thought I'd pop by for a catch up with you all and reignite my love for Monday Summary Posts. I've been super busy and had a lot going on over the last month or so, a lot of which has been difficult to contend with. When going through a difficult time, blogging as regularly as I'd like is the first thing that seems to slip. I'm a little cagey about plastering my problems all over the internet (I like to ask myself what would Victoria Beckham do lol) so choose instead to take a backseat until things don't seem so crazy. I'm happy to report however that things seem to be on the up.
It amazes me sometimes just how much people live their lives on the internet, it seems the blogging world has made every day living almost like a virtual reality. Pretty much every element of peoples lives is either blogged about, vlogged about, tweeted about, instagrammed, and photographed. I'm not saying that this is necessarily a bad thing, but I think it's easy sometimes to question whether what you have to say really has any value anymore, and to feel a little bit insignificant compared to other bloggers, vloggers, tweeters, you name it.
I've been blogging for over 3 years now, and in the time I've met so many wonderful people, some who have become friends, and had lots of wonderful opportunities, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss the way blogging once was. At the same time I think its a good thing that people have discovered a platform to express themselves in their own little corner of the internet. Despite all of this times have definitely changed and the blogosphere has become almost completely saturated, and although it doesn't massively influence me, it is a shift that I have noticed and wanted to acknowledge.
Wow. I got deep man :)
Moving on, I've downloaded "Insanity" For those of you who havn't heard of this its basically an extreme workout dvd that you do at home. When I say workout dvd I actually mean TORTURE. It's supposedly the hardest workout dvd ever released, but promises serious results in just 60 days. I'm hoping to get started this week and give it a serious go, I've been doing pretty well as of late on the old diet and exercise front. I rejoined WeightWatchers a few weeks ago, and have been out riding my bike at every opportunity. So now it's time to take it up a notch. I'll report back (if I'm still alive) and let you know how I get on with it.
Stay tuned for a few posts this week, and for more traditional less rambly Monday Summary's in the near future :)
