Monday Summary (late)

So sorry this weeks summary is late. I'm rushed off my feet at the moment with my new job and adjusting to the early nights and even earlier mornings. After a couple of months of not really having to get up early its quite a shock to the system to hear the alarm going off at what feels like an hour that should be criminal.

1. So in terms of my new job, I've got about a week and a half of training then I start my actual job. There is a lot to learn and I'm super tired at the end of the day from all the brainwork but its all good and I'm glad to be finding myself back in a routine and having my independence. I'm based in the Thomas Cook Head Offices and I'm working in the Customer Relations Department in a Correspondence Team. Its all sounds really interesting so far and I'm keen to get stuck in.

2. As you all know it was my mums birthday this week. She had a lovely day (so did we) and I'm so lucky to have a mum like her. I got her a Spongebob Squarepants cake because she loves him. I had a sneaky piece and I can confirm it was delicious. :)

2. I got a new car this week. I dont get her until March 1st as shes a brand spanker and she is totally gorgeous and a very nice and unexpected surprise. I've been umming and ahhing about whether to sell my current car and get a bicycle or get a new car. Obviously I would save alot of money by selling my car aswell as many other pros, but it would also have a lot of disadvantages and I know for a fact I would miss my independence. My car is a few years old now and although I still love her theres one or two niggles and ultimately its decreasing in value. Today I took her in for her MOT and she passed and I got chatting to the guys there and told them my predicament. To cut a long story short, my new car will actually cost me less on the whole - yes really. I couldn't believe it either. Its the lowest insurance group, is twice as economical on petrol as my current car, and is £20 a year for road tax as opposed to my current £180. I am one very happy lady. I took a couple of quick snaps at the garage, and she's a Peugeot 107 Special Edition Envy. Now all I need are name suggestions? All ideas in the comments please :)

3. I missed Zumba this week, which I was devastated about as its really boosting my weight loss. I simply didn't ring up and book in time and the class was fully booked. I took to doing my 20 minute Zumba workout in my bedroom and I'm going to try and get to a class tomorrow evening. Cross your fingers for me that it isn't fully booked!

Thats it this week guys, sorry its short but I'm just adjusting to the longer days, I'll be back on full form next week I hope.

  1. Oooo your car looks pretty!! Dale got an aygo which is economy, he drives to walsall there and back everyday and does everything else and only needs 30-40 quid petrol a week, brilliant. We went to London and back on 35 quid. Glad your mom had a wonderful birthday, my moms is on 15th of Feb, really hoping she has a great day too xxx

  11. I have a Toyota Aygo Platinum (which is the same car, just a different badge) and can confirm they are so cheap to run. I had a Citroen C3 before it and there is no comparison. I only use one tank of petrol a month, I drive about 5 miles total to work and back everyday, and usually run round doing the shopping etc on weekends. Considering they have a small engine they really are nippy. I promise you will love it. I had mine from brand new in feb 2010 and I adore it. xxxxx

  13. Ive got a Toyota Aygo (In graphite Grey) wished they had a cream colour! They are quite nippy little cars! I agree with the two comments above -so cheap to run and Im so pleased as I brought it brand new in 2008 (its due a MOT in April) and I've had no faults with it so far :) You should call her Cupcake.. mine's called Norris! :) xxxx

  14. This car is so undeniably feminine, it's so perfect as a woman's car! I love how the grill makes it look like it's smiling.

Following the trend for names beginning with 'P', I think Perdita is a lovely name. And then you can call her 'Perdy the Peugeot'!
